Black Gamay with clear juice

 Area of Production

10 hectares in the village of Vaux en Beaujolais. Old vines (40 years old on average) located on a very steep Hills at an altitude of 300 m. ¾ facing south and ¼ facing north.
History : Owned by two brothers, Our domain has been in the same Family for four generations.
Soil : Granit with a thin layer of clay on top.

Grapes harvested only by hand. Whole bunches loaded in fermentation tank, no de-stemming, no crushing. Short fermentation, lasting 2 days, which gives Beaujolais- Villages Nouveau its typical tasting haracteristics. Partial use of thermo-vinification.

 

Tasting characteristics

Cherry color with purple reflections, fresh fruity aromas of blackcurrant and strawberry, smooth and well balanced.
It remains more concentrated than its little brother the Beaujolais Nouveau. Serve chilled at 12-13°C.
