Vineyards located on the west bank of the Rhône River in the area of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (15 kms north of Avignon)
Soil : Red clay mixed with lots of round stones. Terraced vineyards, on steep hill sides.

Tasting characteristics

Deep, intense red colour. Powerful and complex nose, full of ripe red fruit aromas, kirsch, liquorice, leather. An ample, generous and well-balanced wine with good aging potential (5 years and more).
Serve it just below room temperature (16-17°C). Excellent with red meats, game and strong cheeses.
