 Area of Production

Village of Chénas in the Cru Beaujolais area CHENAS is the rarest of the Beaujolais Crus with its 260 hectares (650 acres)
Vineyard acreage  : 5 hectares (12,5 acres) Soil   : granite and sand
Winemaking   : grapes harvested only by hand. Whole bunches loaded in fermentation tank. Prolonged maceration, to give extra color and body to the wine, also more longevity.


Tasting characteristics

This wine, located next door the famous Moulin à Vent, is ruby colored with hints of garnet, well-structured with a floral, woody bouquet.
Serve at just below room temperature (14°C) with rich dishes and mature cheeses.
