Black Gamay with clear juice.

 Area of Production

Hills west of the Saône River, near the town of Mâcon, in Southern Burgundy Vineyard surface  : 1000 hectares (total production of Mâcon Rouge). Our Mâcon Rouge Les Teppes Marius is a blend of the best wine from several outstanding domaines.
Soil
 : Granite subsoil and clay Winemaking  : Grapes harvested exclusively by hand. Traditional winemaking : whole bunches loaded in fermentation tank, without being stemmed. Fermentation last 8 to 10 days with pumping over twice a day for good extraction of color and gamay aromas. Pressing, end of alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation. You can keep it 2 to 3 years.

Tasting characteristics

Bright red cherry color, aromas of small red fruits (black currants, raspberries) full of spice. Fresh and full of fruit in the mouth.
A very pleasant wine, easy to drink young but that ages gracefully (2-3 years). Serve slightly chilled (13-14°C), it can easily accompany the whole meal, whether it is charcuterie, roast meat, mild cheeses.
