 :
2,5 hectares (6 acres) Exposure  : Southwest, hillside slopes Soil   : unique soil consisting of rotten stone and crumbling schist, on a granite base Winemaking   : grapes harvested only by hand. Whole bunches loaded in fermentation tank. Prolonged maceration, to give extra color and body to the wine, also more longevity.


Tasting characteristics

A traditionally rich and powerful wine with good body. Deep red color, aromas of ripe fruit, such as cherry, plum, peach, apricot.
It is best enjoyed after a few years, when it reaches its full maturity : « il morgonne » (which means it has developed the typical vinous characteristics of Morgon).
Best served at about 14°C with meats cooked in sauce, game and cheese.
