MACON ROUGE Les Teppes Marius 2004 **

Recently mentionned in the Guide, this cuvée « Teppes Marius » is charming thanks to its red coulour, pure and light. The nose first presents some reduction notes which immediately disappear to leave place to typical aromas: red fruits, purple flowers and spices. Fruity and crispy, the mouth is nice. To be drunk right now in a decanter.

BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES Tour Goyon 2004 *

Red purple, this selection presents complexes and intense red and black fruit perfumes where blackcurrant and raspberry are dominating. The mouth is round and with a beautiful and enduring delicacy. This 2004 vintage well structured and elegant is ready to be drunk but it can also be kept in a cellar for one or two years.
The Saint Amour de la Closerie 2004 is also judged very nice and will be ready in a year.

MACON ROUGE Les Teppes Marius 2004

Garnet red colour, not too strong with purple violet reflection. The nose is typical, very thin, revealing clear red and black acidulous fruit perfumes (raspberry, bilberry, blackcurrant sorbet) with spicy notes. The mouth is nervous and fresh, with primary aromas typical from Gamay. The final is pronounced with a thin tannic frame. An enjoying and cooling wine to be drunk right now.

MACON ROUGE Les Teppes Marius 2003 **

The polished Edward Steeves, recently awarded one of France’s highest distinctions : Knight of Arts and Humanities, is at the head of this traditional wineshipping firm. He selected this particular wine with utmost care, as he usually does. Its color is cardinal red, deep and luminous. The nose first offers notes of fruit, then follow complex scents of musk and humus. Vibrant fruit attack in the mouth, roundness on the palate, fragrant all the while, ending on piquant tannins. A wine very representative of its AOC.

MOULIN A VENT Domaine Bourisset Cuvée spéciale chêne 2002

COLLIN BOURISSET CEO since 1985, Edward Steeves is a native of Boston. This American Latinist, who defines himself as “a poet and wine humanist“, has discovered the Beaujolais Nouveau phenomenon when he was studying letters in the Sorbonne school. After 10 years as a teacher, he decided to dedicate himself in this “drink of civilization”. He submits a deep red vintage with light perfume of red and exotic fruits. Round and full, it is well balanced. The aromas are both fruity and wooded, with hints of nuts and under wood. A bottle to be drunk now.

POUILLY FUISSE Les petites Bruyères élevé en fûts de chêne 2001

Selected with care by COLLIN BOURISSET, this 2001 has got a great gold-green color. The nose is generous and offers fine vanilla and wild rose notes. After an aerial attack, the palate follows on a pure mineral thread, ornamented of a dense matter. This wine needs time to be at its peak and suit a salmon in crust!

Quite intense, perfumes of red fruits, blackberries and blackcurrants, plus some notes of walnuts. Plump, round, but with a good tannic structure, well balanced, this 2002, will be ready to taste when this Guide comes out. It can be appreciate during 1 to 2 years.
