History : Domaine de la Charrière originates from 1819. At this time, the owner was Comte Monchanin. Then Comtesse de Flamericourt inherited this 10 hectares (25 acres) Domaine. She divided in several parts. Miss Cohen inherited the present Domaine de la Charriére, which consists of 4,2 hectares (9,5 acres) of vineyard in Régnié production area.
Winemaking : The vines are 50 years old on average. As a result, yields are low (45 hl/hectare).
Tasting characteristics
Traditional vinification in wood casks allows a fine quality wine with a bright ruby color and red fruits aromas (raspberries and redcurrants). Serve cold (12°C) with terrines and hot hors d’oeuvres.
